Pokemon Yellow – How to Catch Articuno with POKEBALL
This is a quite long video of how you firstly find, but also weaken and capture the legendary bird with ONLY A POKEBALL!
REQUIREMENTS:
– One or several Pokemon which know the technique ‘HYPNOSIS’,’SLEEP POWDER’,’SPORE’,’LOVELY KISS’ or ‘SING’ (All sleeping techniques)
[I chose a psychic pokemon with HYPNOSIS since sleep powder and spore are learned by grass pokemon which are weak against flying]
– One or several Pokemon which know the technique ‘FLASH’,’SAND-ATTACK’,’KINESIS’,’DOUBLE TEAM’ or ‘MINIMIZE’ (All INCREASE your pokemon’s ability to evade enemy attacks)
[Again i used a psychic pokemon with FLASH even tho probably the most inaccurate of all of those moves, Hypno stands up well against the birds]
– Minimum of 20 Pokeballs in Item pocket
– Pokemon in party AT LEAST Level 40 [IN ORDER TO USE MOVES TO WEAKEN Birds SIGNIFICANTLY]
– ***SAVE*** IMMEDIATELY Before Approaching the Birds
– A pokemon which has the Technique SURF in order to reach the SEAFOAM ISLANDS located between Cinnabar and Fuscia [VIA FUSCIA SIDE]
– A pokemon that knows the technique STRENGTH in order to move certain BOULDERS located in SEAFOAM ISLANDS
IDEALLY:
– A pokemon that knows FLY in order to get there FASTER than any other way (FUSCIA)
– 6 Pokemon in your party, of varying types, and IDEALLY NOT WEAK against FLYING [NOT GRASS/BUG/FIGHTING]
Also if first time catching the birds *PATIENCE*
